The 18th annual Institute for Social Action will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at St.
Patrick Parish in Iowa City. The keynote speaker will be Helene Paharik, Director of the Department of Human Dignity for the
Diocese of Pittsburgh. The presentation is entitled, "Respect For Life and Dignity of the Human Person: the Basis Of
All Social Concerns."
The Iowa Institute for Social Action is sponsored by the Catholic dioceses
of Iowa and the Iowa Catholic Conference. The Diocese of Davenport is taking a lead role in putting together the Institute
this year.
